"The cleanups and plogging activities organized during the trek were hectic but fun. It was amazing to see everyone come together to keep the trails clean. The slogans, that I still remember helped spread the message of environmental conservation to other trekkers. I can’t wait to go again. It was my first trek experience, and
TOE made it super cool."

"I have attended three TOE treks. The best part is joining an adventure with a cause, experiencing the energy and motivation from TOE, the awareness slogans throughout the trek, taking back all plastics, and connecting with local people for environmental and sustainable initiatives. Highly recommended; one must experience a trek with TOE."

  Background

India's natural wonders, from the majestic Himalayas to the sun-kissed beaches of Goa, offer adventure and tranquility. However, the beauty of these landscapes is threatened by pollution from increasing tourism. It's urgent that we act to protect these treasures before it's too late.

India boasts 38 UNESCO sites, 7000 cultural heritage sites, 600 reserve forests, and 200 treks, each attracting travelers from around the world. Unfortunately, this influx has led to a surge in non-biodegradable waste, especially plastics. Our mountains, beaches, and forests, once pristine, now suffer from human negligence.

Popular destinations like Himachal Pradesh, which sees 19 million visitors annually, and Goa, with 7 million visitors each year, are feeling the strain. Even the iconic Taj Mahal, attracting 8 million tourists yearly, is affected. The environmental impact is significant, leading to problems like increased landslides in Leh Ladakh and Uttarakhand, and more frequent typhoons in coastal regions such as Odisha and Kerala.

To combat this crisis, our Trekking and Traveling Awareness Program advocates for eco-friendly travel. We promote using sustainable materials, avoiding single-use plastics, and minimizing waste. On our treks, we educate participants about environmental conservation, collect litter, and collaborate with local communities to address environmental issues.

Our treks range from easy to moderate, including popular routes like Triund Trek, Kedarkantha Trek, and Chandrashila Trek. We work with sustainable travel agencies to use compostable materials and support local economies by consuming locally-sourced food.

Trekking and traveling are more than just activities; they are gateways to discovering new cultures, challenging personal limits, and connecting with nature. Both activities encourage physical fitness, mental well-being, and environmental stewardship. By participating in our program, you'll learn to appreciate the great impact that mindful travel can have on your life and the planet.

The impact of our initiatives is profound. Hundreds have directly benefited from our eco-friendly treks, and thousands more have been reached through social media. Our efforts raise awareness about health, fitness, wildlife conservation, and empower local communities to protect their environment.

Together, we can explore and protect the beauty of our world.
